Public Notice

Subject:-          Protection to Motorcycle Industry in Pakistan

            It has been decided in a meeting held in Planning Commission that National Tariff Commission (NTC) may conduct a study on the protection of motorcycle industry.  Accordingly an investigation has been initiated in the NTC on the issue of tariff protection to the indigenous industry manufacturing motorcycles.  All interested parties including manufacturers, vendors, importers and dealers of motorcycle may furnish their views duly substantiated with essential data and evidence to the NTC within one week of publication of this notice in the press.  The manufacturers of motorcycle and vendors may furnish their cost of production in detail along with their audited accounts for last 3 years within one week.  The manufacturers and vendors may use the NTC form-I available on NTC website (www.ntc.gov.pk).

2.         A public hearing in the case has been scheduled to be held at 11:00 a.m on                February 01, 2012 at the National Tariff Commission, Conference Room, 11^th Floor, State Life Insurance Building No. 5, Blue Area, Islamabad. All interested parties including manufacturers, vendors, importers of motorcycles and parts thereof may attend the public hearing as per schedule above along with essential data and evidences.
